MEDIA MANAGER: CONTENT WORKFLOW ORCHESTRATION
Video consumption continues to grow sharply, but is increasingly fragmented across many devices, platforms, and user offerings from VoD and Catch-up TV to network PVR and live streams. Each has its own unique set of format and security requirements. To maximise reach and revenue, operators must prepare and deliver content that meets all these needs.
 
Workflow tasks may include ingest, automated QA, segmentation, stitching, metadata transformation, and transcoding, as well as packaging or encryption with different types of content security. Operators may also need to generate EPGs and feed appropriately-formatted metadata to recommendation engines and VoD libraries. Managing all these tasks manually creates long content publishing lead times, increases staffing costs and introduces scope for human error.
